BLE AoD technology

The basic equipment of AoD positioning and AoA positioning is basically the same, the base station side has an array antenna, and

the label side is a single antenna. Just the positioning process is different.

The AoA mode tag sends a message with CTE content, and the base station calculates the IQ signal of the tag CTE by constantly

switching the antenna, and finally calculates the Angle.

AoD, on the contrary, when the base station sends CTE content, it constantly switches the antenna, and after receiving the label, 

it determines its Angle relative to the base station through IQ signal, obtains the signal Angle and signal strength of multiple base

stations, and calculates its position (terminal and Beacon are similar, can be mobile phones or tags).

The maturity of AoD is far from the stage it should be, its typical application is the label to calculate its own position, and the base

station is just a power supply infrastructure, sending messages periodically. Therefore, the terminal can be a mobile phone or a

special application terminal, but in this mode, if it is an ordinary terminal, it needs to pay attention to power consumption, because

in this mode, the label must have the function of continuous listening, otherwise it can not receive the broadcast of all the base

stations, in addition, the broadcast of the base station is best controlled without conflict.
